Scheduling with Google Calendar (Slack)
Want to make it easier for users to schedule their coffee chats? You can now enable Google Calendar in your program settings!
How to enable Google Calendar for meeting scheduling
To enable Google Calendar for your CoffeePals program, follow these steps:
- Log into the dashboard and select "Programs" from the left menu.
- Click on the program you want to configure.
- Select the "Program Configuration" tab.
- Scroll down to the Messages and Meeting Scheduling section.
- Under the "Calendar Type" dropdown, choose Google Calendar.
- Click Save.
Once this is enabled, users who get matched will see a button to Connect Google Calendar. They’ll be prompted to authenticate using their Google account with a delegated permission scope. Once authorized, CoffeePals will display available meeting times based on both participants' calendars.
☕ The best part? Users only need to authenticate once. After that, every future match can be scheduled in just one click.
