CoffeeMaker: Get Started

Just like standing around the coffee maker in the office kitchen, CoffeeMaker sparks light conversation within your team. The CoffeePals App will post thought-provoking questions in your team for participants to answer in text form. Example: "What's your favourite quote and what makes it so good for you?". This is a great asynchronous way for your team to get to know one another.


Get started


To get started with CoffeeMaker follow these steps:

  1. Add the CoffeePals app to the team where you want questions to be posted in. Click here to find it in the Teams Store.
  2. Click on Programs
  3. Click on Create a new program
  4. Using the “Type” filter, choose Coffee Maker
  5. Choose the Coffee Maker Questions template, or any of the other Coffee Maker templates for other fun themed programs


Configuring CoffeeMaker


By default, CoffeeMaker sends questions to your channel at 10AM EST on Wednesdays and Fridays. To configure your CoffeeMaker program, go to Programs, click on the CoffeeMaker program card you want to edit, and click on Configuration. Here you can:


  • Customize the program name, and manage program admins
  • Change the audience this program is running on
  • Select the channel you want questions posted to
  • Choose which days CoffeeMaker sends questions
  • Select the time and timezone questions are sent at
  • Manage the questions queue
  • Customize the intro messages that get sent when the program is added to an audience
