How to Create a Slack Audience for CoffeePals

Getting Started: Adding CoffeePals to Slack

First things first—let’s get CoffeePals into your Slack workspace!

Creating Your CoffeePals Channel

A special Slack channel just for CoffeePals is a great way to make sure everyone who joins is ready to connect! Here’s how to set it up:

Create a New Channel:
Click the + next to “Channels” in Slack’s left sidebar.
Select Create a Channel.
Give It a Great Name: Make it fun! Names like “CoffeePals,” “Random Chats,” “Virtual Coffee,” or “Coffee Buddies” all work well—whatever suits your style!
Choose Channel Privacy: Decide if you’d like this to be a public channel that anyone can join, or a private one for specific members only.
Invite Your Team: Add members who want to participate in CoffeePals! You can start with a smaller group or invite everyone who’s interested right away. You can also share a link to the channel in a general channel or in an email newsletter.
Click Create: And your new CoffeePals channel is live!

Bringing CoffeePals into the Channel

Now it’s time to add CoffeePals to the channel and make it official!

Invite CoffeePals to the Channel:
Open the channel you just created.
In the message box, type /invite @CoffeePals and hit enter. Voilà! CoffeePals is now part of the channel.
Confirm Your New Audience: Anyone who joins this channel is now part of the CoffeePals Audience and will be automatically added to any CoffeePals programs using this Audience. Easy, right?

Now, you can go ahead and create a program with your new audience.
