How to connect Deel to CoffeePals

Connecting Deel to CoffeePals keeps your member list and employee attributes up to date automatically, so your programs reach the right people as your team changes. This guide walks through connecting Deel from your CoffeePals settings.

This feature requires a paid CoffeePals plan.

Before you start

A CoffeePals account on a paid plan. New to CoffeePals? Sign up to create your account, then upgrade to a plan that includes the HRIS integration.
Permission to set up integrations in both CoffeePals and Deel.

Connect Deel

In CoffeePals, open Settings and go to General.
In the HRIS section, click Connect HRIS.
Choose Deel from the list of HR systems.
Sign in to Deel if you are asked to, then review and approve the access CoffeePals requests.
Back in CoffeePals, Deel appears in the HRIS section and the first sync starts.

Choose what to sync

In the HRIS section, click Settings to pick which Deel fields to map to CoffeePals attributes, and which departments to include.

How the sync works

CoffeePals pulls your employees and departments from Deel once every 24 hours. The sync is read-only, so CoffeePals never writes back to Deel. Attributes imported from Deel can only be changed in Deel; edits appear in CoffeePals on the next sync.

When a new employee appears in Deel, CoffeePals adds them and sends them an email invite to join. People who have already left are never invited.

Troubleshooting

Some employees are missing. CoffeePals matches people by their work email. Check that the missing people are current employees in Deel with a work email, and that their department is included in your HRIS settings.

The sync shows an error. Click Reconnect in the HRIS section. This usually means the connection expired or access was revoked in Deel.

I want to connect a different HRIS. CoffeePals supports one HRIS connection per organization. Disconnect Deel first, then connect the other provider.

How do I disconnect Deel? In Settings → General, find the HRIS section, click the red trash icon and confirm.
